White willow bark comes from several varieties of willow tree, including white Salix alba or European species. White Willow bark powder contains properties which are often compared to aspirin. White willow bark contains powerful anti-inflammatory plant compounds called salicin and flavonoids which are thought to be responsible for the pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects.
