Comfrey leaf powder is strictly for external use, not internal consumption, due to the presence of pyrrolizidine alkaloids, even though traditionally it was used as a vegetable. When applied topically to unbroken skin, the powder’s primary active ingredient, allantoin, can significantly aid healing by promoting cell regeneration for bruises, sprains, and minor skin injuries. Its anti-inflammatory properties reduce swelling and pain. However, the FDA advises against oral consumption.
Comfrey Leaf Powder Nutritional Content: Comfrey leaf powder contains minimal nutritional value suitable for human dietary intake. It provides only trace amounts of non-significant minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium, along with minor levels of vitamins. The primary components are the beneficial topical agent allantoin and various plant fibers/mucilage. The focus remains on its herbal compounds for external use, as internal consumption is not recommended

Shelf Life: Our products will maintain their freshness and integrity for up to 18 months after purchase in our sealed bags or 6-9 months after seal is broken. Customers should store products in a cool dark place to ensure full shelf-life. Bulk products are sourced on a weekly basis to ensure our supply is always fresh.
Packaging: Orders of 10 or more of a single item or 10lbs or more of a single item will be packaged in a food grade bag with twist tie. Bulk capsules do not apply.
