Comfrey Leaf Cut and Sifted

Comfrey leaf is traditionally known for topical healing benefits, but internal use is discouraged due to pyrrolizidine alkaloids, though it was used historically as a vegetable.. Topically applied to unbroken skin, its allantoin and rosmarinic acid compounds can accelerate healing of bruises, sprains, and minor wounds through cell regeneration and anti-inflammatory properties. However, the plant contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which the FDA advises against oral consumption.
Comfrey Leaf Cut and Sifted Nutritional Content: Comfrey leaf is primarily valued for its traditional herbal compounds, not significant nutritional density in culinary terms. The cut and sifted material contains minor quantities of essential minerals, including calcium, potassium, and phosphorus. It also offers trace amounts of magnesium, iron, and zinc, alongside some B vitamins and vitamin C. Its primary constituents are non-nutritive, such as the healing agent allantoin and various plant mucilage compounds. Nutritional intake from comfrey is negligible compared to standard food sources.

Shelf Life: Our products will maintain their freshness and integrity for up to 18 months after purchase in our sealed bags or 6-9 months after seal is broken. Customers should store products in a cool dark place to ensure full shelf-life. Bulk products are sourced on a weekly basis to ensure our supply is always fresh.
Packaging: Orders of 10 or more of a single item or 10lbs or more of a single item will be packaged in a food grade bag with twist tie. Bulk capsules do not apply.
