Coltsfoot Leaf Cut and Sifted

Coltsfoot leaf has been traditionally used to address respiratory ailments due to its demulcent, antitussive, and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to soothe coughs and congestion. The cut and sifted form, often prepared as a tea, leverages its mucilage content to coat irritated membranes and act as a mild expectorant. However, these traditional uses are not supported by high-quality human clinical evidence. The plant naturally contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs), which are potentially liver-toxic and carcinogenic in high dosages. Colts foot leaf is not intended for long-term internal use
Coltsfoot Leaf Nutritional Content: Coltsfoot leaf primarily offers trace amounts of various nutrients rather than significant nutritional value comparable to typical food sources. Its main components are non-nutritive, bioactive compounds like mucilage, which is a type of polysaccharide, and tannins, which have demulcent properties. The leaves contain small quantities of essential minerals, including magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, and selenium. It also provides some vitamin C and B-complex vitamins. The primary focus remains on its herbal constituents rather than macro- or micronutrient density.

Secure Packaging: Our bulk products are packaged using a re-sealable food grade bag that blocks UV light and moisture. All our products are safety sealed for our customer’s safety. Our dark colored bags are specially designed to ensure the freshest product possible.
Shelf Life: Our products will maintain their freshness and integrity for up to 18 months after purchase in our sealed bags or 6-9 months after seal is broken. Customers should store products in a cool dark place to ensure full shelf-life. Bulk products are sourced on a weekly basis to ensure our supply is always fresh.
Packaging: Orders of 10 or more of a single item or 10lbs or more of a single item will be packaged in a food grade bag with twist tie. Bulk capsules do not apply.
